Pros

Great way to develop customer service skills. The interaction you get with every guest is very personal so over time it will improve your communication skills.

Cons

Horrible management. Too many politics for a small 4 star hotel. Unfair treatment for newcomers and the upper levels are biased to employees with higher seniority. I can understand if those with seniority have more leeway in certain things, however, it shouldn't be in everything. For example, when it came to scheduling and taking long breaks, employees that stayed longer were allowed to have their requests fulfilled. But if you are not there for long enough, even if you are the same title, you can't even request an early leave because you are feeling unwell (even with a doctor's note provided next day). Instead you will get interrogated like no tomorrow. Unbelievable. If you don't mind being mistreated like a tool, then feel free to work here.

Pros

The environment and energy working at Hilton is amazing. I've never been happier to work for a company before. The benefits are pretty good and room rate discounts have helped me travel more than I've ever imagined.

Cons

Pay could be better. I have a degree pertaining to my position but received a low starting hourly pay. There is opportunity for growth so it may be worth it to some.

Pros

The employees make working here a great experience. It's a legitimate family atmosphere and it's difficult to not have immediate support from any department for any situation. The guest is everyone's priority. Amazing benefits. Great working environment. Good hours. Attentive managers, and a solid fundamental system for upward movement within the company.

Cons

The pay is average. I can't knock the company for paying the standard wages set in our economy, but it's still difficult to make ends meet without taking every overtime opportunity that pops up. Very taxing on maintaining healthy family interactions. It is what it is though.
