Weak company, middle and senior management the worst I’ve seen anywhere

Pros

- Pay well (because clients pick up payroll costs in full, including almost guaranteed annual bonus)

Cons

- Some of the weakest performers I have ever come across, at all levels - Account level senior leadership (so Hines middle managers) extremely poor. And I don’t mean a few weak ones, it’s across-the-board verging on incompetent. I’ve worked as a consultant and perm in dozens of companies and a few countries, including turnaround scenarios, and I’ve never seen anything this bad.

Pros

Throughout my tenure with Hines supporting the Facebook account, I genuinely enjoyed working with many of my coworkers, vendors, and previous managers. When the office is/was open, we were able to enjoy many of the FB perks-food, building amenities, art workshops, etc.

Cons

As a queer woman with a disability, I experienced a hostile work environment, retaliation for reporting sexual harassment, and lack of reasonable accommodations for my disability. I received excellent performance reviews, as well as a promotion over my three and a half years of employment, however I was told I to actively stop asking about professional growth. My manager told me that they never had to ask about promotions-they were given them because they deserved it. The complaints I raised as to the workplace environment were not coming from a “disgruntled” employee. On the contrary, absent this intolerable environment, lack of opportunity for growth, and Hines’ unwillingness to reasonably accommodate my disability, I would’ve had a long future with the company.

Pros

Benefits & Training according to what you do for the firm.

Cons

• Limited growth opportunities, cliques, bullying, no organisation and little care for EA's and mid-level employees. • Hard work and talent is overlooked/not appreciated or recognised. • Unrealistic expectations and rudeness from senior managers who depend on their staff to deliver so that they can claim the credit. • It's very difficult for new starters if you are in the administrative/mid-level category. No great for Well-being. • The company is terrible when it comes to Diversity & Inclusion. Unconscious bias or a general bias is very prevalent. HR/Leaders over look this issue. A lot of lip service no action. • Managers are slow decision making, very hierarchical. • Work-life balance depends on who you work for and how they treat you. • Not a good place for you if you are smart and wish to progress in your career. • Family business which wants to progress with a corporate mentality however they are unable to due to people who are not forward-thinking or adaptable to change. • New ideas are definitely not encouraged or welcome. • Toxic and political environment to work in. • Not a good place to work if you are smart, forward-thinking and ambitious. • Favouritism at work
