Pros

Has a good reputation in the industry. Has done some great things in the past, before Allied Signal took over. Been coasting downhill at an increasing rate ever since.

Cons

Management looks for the inputs that please them and lacks the courage to listen to the negatives. Employees who disagree have been told, "If you don't like it, there's the door". In many cases they have been shown the door. Morale is rock bottom, with employees out actively searching for other jobs, to get out of teh toxic Honeywell environment. Tired fo 14 - 16 hour days with no recognition for the effort. No pay increases for the past three years while the sharelholder dividends have been paid and the bosses have taken their bonuses. Can't manage to get new product to market, so they are falling further and further behind every day. They brag about the great new products, when in reality they have bought the companies that make those products.

Pros

The pay is pretty good for both hourly and salary employees. Plenty of opportunity for overtime for the hourly folks.

Cons

Salary employees are expected to work however long it takes to get the job done. That's fine in a normal situation, but here the work never seemed to go away. In fact, there was only more work as people became disatisfied and left. There seemed to be a preference by upper management (mostly women) to promote women ahead of men. These people don't even try to retain talent, so if you're remotely competent and take pride in your work, don't work here. But if you're good at sucking up and you're prepared to take the fall if something goes wrong, this might be a good fit.
