      Being a cost center not too much drive to push towards higher results, a motley crowd of good and average individuals, functional and technology tracks not well defined, too many meetings

      Top notch people to work with. Interesting work. Wide ranging career opportunities. Technology leader in oil refining and petrochemicals. Opportunity to travel worldwide.

      Cons

      For the past several years, benefits have been steadily reduced. Management continues to outsource people and technology. The company is being damaged and morale is very low.

      Strong financial fortune 50 company that has many locations and divisions. Opportunity to expand ones role (if liked by the right people).

      Cons

      Political company where it matters who you are and who likes you to get promoted. More importantly not a place that promotes innovations or creative thinking because there is a lot of negativity from senior management when something doesn't go there way (or the economy causes sales to reduce greatly.)
