Global company experiencing strong growth Good portfolio of products Good opportunity for travel Lots of money to splash around

Cons

Horrible environment. Bullying and nepotism is out of control. Non-Chinese are "second class" employees who's opinion doesn't matter. "Command and Control" approach to managing the business No teamwork - employees are encouraged to fight each other, and are rewarded when successful. No support from management unless it suits them. Chinese will come in and take over initiatives when it suits them, then claim the credit Secretive. Communication between team members is optional. English is optional. Unethical (illegal) practises.

They are cheap when it comes to spending, purchasing, activities, community involvement. Delay on bonus payment, very Chinese , not transparent at all

Pros

Huawei offers a good salary and every year I worked there I received a good bonus. My travel was never restricted and I was able to go to several conferences a year adding to my industry experience and networking.

Cons

Working for a Chinese company, at least for Huawei, was often frustrating, There seemed to be a lack of trust from headquarters of the North American employees. Even the most basic decisions had to be run by someone at headquarters before being approved. This was inefficient.
