Pros

High quality human rights organization. The programmatic work is top notch and often has significant impact.

Cons

Management is under-qualified, and often promoted based on accomplishments and not managerial skills. There needs to be a greater internal focus on diversity, equality, and staff morale.

Pros

Worked with great people, very passionate about the work. Wonderful company culture and office dynamics, and the kitchen is always fully stocked (!!!). Higher-up management made themselves accessible to interns and provided helpful career workshops

Cons

Unpaid, but that's typical of DC
