Pros

Low stress environment if you are willing to go with the flow, average pay and compensation, good mobility options. Not a bad choice for moms.

Cons

Slow, glacial growth within the company unless you work in sales. If you work in sales, cutthroat environment. IBM is now an overpriced giant, prepare for the crash.

Pros

IBM at Guadalajara has several areas. It depends with wich area you are working. The good thing is that you have a secure work: It's really really hard to get fired. We have 12 free days/year, medical and dental insurance, food vauchers/month, paid vacations. It depends, but it's possible to travel abroad for trainning. It's easy to get hired if you're a new grad (as a contractor).

Cons

IBM takes your life. Several of my friends and me, work more than 8hrs/day, as average10 to 12 hours per day. IBM does not pay you that time. Also, IBM it's pretty demanding and your money compensation is not as good as other companies in the area. It's incredible the high elitism and sometimes it's difficult to get the information yo need. Also, there is some people who doesn't like to share their knowledge. Too much burocracy. If you're a new grad you will start as a contractor. You will need about 2 years to get hired as a "regular" employee (my case).
