Pros

The Name open some doors, the ability to do Home Office, sound good on your CV, lots of mandatory sales training.

Cons

Bureaucratic, complex, slow, no one take a decisions, is more important the friends then the reality, don’t have real management, they promise things than never do, hard to move or to be recognized, not a real line of management. Many quarters losing money. They destroy the culture of all the companies they acquired.

Pros

If you find the right team and the right manager you'll love it.

Cons

Things move slowly and it is common to come across people / teams with a "not my problem" mentality. There is no ownership of tasks. Help Desk is poorly trained. Volunteering can easily become a second job within a job. There are many incompetent people that have no place working in IBM (I get asked how to use Excel a lot). A lot of skill is also underused.
