Pros
Excellent Benefits (except there is no pension) Looks good on the resume for future employement You do get promoted relatively easily if you demonstrate your ability to succeed (at the lower levels at least, don't know about higher levels, above Senior Consultant).
Cons
Promotions and rating are at the whim of your managers and some sectors can be clickish limiting your ability to move up if you are not part of the "golden children". Moving from one project to another can ake an excessively long time, so if you are on a bad project you are in stuck for a while.
