Pros

I worked here as a Senior Account Executive for over 3 years. Lots of pros, some great people, benefits are great, salaries are ok for a company of this size. Free breakfast. Great employee experience team. Fitness classes - although the times are not ideal if you work in sales. Recently promoted some inspiring people into management roles who I’m sure will drive a lot of positive change. Great earning potential on bonuses if you over deliver on your targets. Free snacks - Great selection Free toiletries Great happy hours on a Friday. You will make lots of friends here - The people are great fun Mixed bag of experience working there so you get to work alongside a very diverse team. Clear progression path - Indeed do reward hard work and employees that keep a positive attitude. I developed a huge amount as a person through the challenges of working here and this has been a massive pro in my life.

Cons

Lots of change, which is natural in a hyper growth business. In my time, they really fell down in transparency and communication. Management has been quite clicky over the last few years and at times no one has any idea what’s going on. Targets can change suddenly with no notice and there can be a ‘shut up and put up’ culture in the sales org. Give people space and time to adjust to prevent them losing motivation and feeling disheartened. I’m confident that new people in management will drive change in this regard, as they operate differently and want to drive a learning and empowerment culture. Huge amount of micro management and a lot of very big egos. High pressure environment, it’s never enough (dependent on your manager but 60% of them do work like this) Though they have accountably as one of their core values, managers accept little to no accountability for their failings in understanding their people or lack of transparency. This is one of the main reasons I chose to leave. I do believe this is one of the best sales team in Dublin but there seems to be a real lack of trust from management in the people they are hiring at times.

Pros

Benefits People Drinks on Friday Early finish on Friday Brekky

Cons

The company is doing a great job at recruiting new people but they clearly do not care about the retention of employees. So many valuable employees have left the company in the last 12 months and it doesn’t seem to bother upper management at all. It is impossible to get promoted, the last promotion was given more than one year ago. Management has no idea how targets are calculated, in fact if you do well one quarter, be ready to earn no comms on the next one. You are treated like kids with zero trust on time management and on the actual job

Pros

Newest tech, Good Work/Life balance. Benefits kick in from day 1

Cons

Company was set up by Ex-Google employees who brought those policies with them. Tough multiple interviews to get in and end up at the bottom along with all the other intellects clamouring for enough attention to get a promotion that doesn't happen unless you're a manager. Sales Dept is intense and not for the faint of heart. Other departments risk boredom setting in. Prepare to have company culture forced on you

Hi, thanks so much for taking the opportunity to leave us feedback about working at Indeed. Fostering a great work/life balance is one of the things we’re really proud of in our culture. We also want our employees’ next jobs to be at Indeed, which is why we promote many of our hires from within. Working in Sales is hard and we do agree with you, it is not for everyone. Throughout the hiring process we do try to convey the role and what is expected of our employees when they start. It does look like we need to continue improving in this area so thank you for bringing this to our attention.
