Pros

- You learn more in 2 years at IPA than you would in 10 years in school - Strong shared sense of mission and values - Access to large network of academics, partners, and projects around the world - Recently undertook compensation review, raising pay in many countries and jobs to be more competitive. - Recently upgraded leadership in IT, HR, and Finance

Cons

- Org is stretched thin over dozens of countries and sectors, and hundreds of grants - Still improving business systems to keep up with this complexity - Staff retention is a problem as the org trains people too well, making them good candidates for universities or other NGOs
