Pros

I learned a lot at IPA and the work culture is great. You have enough space to learn and do things on your own but also have the supervision and tools to guide you in the right direction. You will learn not just about your work in research management and/or policy but also partner management, logistics, admin, and proposal development.

Cons

You will work long hours from time to time (even on holidays) and you really need to fight for your promotion.

Pros

Great organization doing great work; the smartest people I have ever worked. Hard work but lots of opportunity to travel

Cons

For where you live, the pay is great; but it is not great by Western standards.
