Pros

Very friendly people, mission and vision oriented.

Cons

Too many Incompetent people in the mission, too much bureaucracy. Don't think out of the box. Higher management are more tough and un-understanding. Most of the employees are not motivated to work, because of the bad management and unhealthy atmosphere. The HR aren't doing anything impact-ful to help the employees to overcome their demotivation.

Pros

Pros for position at HQ NY - Salary is pretty good for a nonprofit and benefits are amazing! - Flexible schedule will depend on your workload, office and manager. - Lots of professional development opportunities - There are a lot of employment opportunities for internal staff and flexibility to move around and participate in short assignments

Cons

Cons for position at HQ NY - Some staff treat their employees are not very nice or fair - Though there are plenty of employment opportunities and short term assignments, it can get highly competitive - Too many consultants are getting hired who have minimal knowledge about IRC's work

Pros

Very efficient HR, but only at the on boarding stage! IRC worships process but that process mostly fails.

Cons

IRC considers itself as a Humanitarian Organization, but this is far from truth. Long story short, this organization has zero ethical considerations at the very core, upward, and downward. IRC complaint system is incompetent, and below professional standard. HR Regional and Country Office are only facades, and lack integrity, so do not be fooled by the high salary.
