Pros

Great ideals, emphasis on sustainability and lasting improvements are a plus. Recruit people with impressive experience and dedication. Go where many organizations don't.

Cons

Bureaucracy can be a bit stifling. Need to hire more people to support at the HQ level. Security policies can be a bit haphazard in my experience which is unsettling.

Pros

Get to work with people who are passionate about what they're doing. You also get to work at something that makes you feel good about yourself.

Cons

There is definitely a feeling that you are working to make management look better, so if you want a day off or a lighter workload than forget it. Hours can be long and tensions sometimes run high, so if you need help than you better learn how to be self sufficient.
