Well resourced, a bit chaotic

Pros

Well resourced and respected within the humanitarian community, good pay and benefits

Cons

Too much focus on fancy new initiatives to the point where everything gets over complicated and things start to go wrong. An example is its budget management systems which are chaotic and lead to big spending variances, which extremely problematic for an organisation whose business model focuses on projects with fixed budgets and timeframes, and leads to a lot of unnecessary stress for staff. This seems to come from senior management which seems to want to turn the organisation in to some sort of blue chip consultancy rather than an humanitarian NGO.
