-You have a direct impact on the well-being of your clients -Working in local office allows you to have impact on your immediate community -Great glimpse at what its like to work in a nonprofit

Cons

-Not a whole lot of direction given from supervisors-- a lot of my work depended on my own initiative -Sometimes work was menial, but that's to be expected in a nonprofit where the work is so critical -Unpaid, which also understandable but limited the amount of time I was able to work there since I had to hold at least one other job to support myself
