Pros

The people I work with are amazing. The mission is great and the org makes a huge impact.

Cons

I think that the org grew pretty fast over the last few years and communication could improve.

Pros

Mission driven, the in-country work and field office resettlement work is impressive

Cons

Terrible upper management. Lack of transparency with staff, upper management just hires their buddies (rampant cronyism), and micro-management on small things which then make your job very unnecessarily difficult. Very difficult to get promoted or get a raise (and I've seen them fire some of their best staff). People are underpaid resulting in a lack of motivation. They are disrespectful and look down on the US field offices that are completing actual incredible work, favoring the more attractive international humanitarian work. Average turnover rate in the HQ is apparently 11 months which tells you all you need to know.
