Pros

Great work/life balance if you have a family or want to enjoy what San Diego has to offer. Pay is good! The employee stock purchase plan is a great benefit, plus a 12.5% 401k match as well.

Cons

Internal politics grind progress to a halt, it is a consensus driven culture and no one person is in charge of a project, so getting alignment quickly, especially when there are many competing priorities, is difficult at best. At this point it is undeniable that TurboTax knowingly tricks customers into paying for it via false advertising about it being "free", so there is a moral question to be asked about working here.

Pros

Great company benefits, stock options, health insurance, reputable company

Cons

With every leadership overhaul the ship sinks deeper. Australia continues to lack clear strategy and falls further behind its competitors. Senior management have lost touch with their people and no longer serve a purpose. Many talented professionals have left or been used as scapegoats. Many deserving individuals have been overlooked for promotions while others who play the game continue to climb the ranks and deteriorate the culture. Intuit's values are recited repetitively by management, and although they are great in principal, they are never applied in reality.

Pros

1. Intuit Benefits and boundaryless culture 2. Internal mobility 3. Salary

Cons

1. how much ever they streamline the performance appraisal, there are still strong politics. 2. Manager does not like a person, he can rate him low, even though the person has delivered results, met all the goals, contributed across organizations. it just doesn't matter and they hide these during calibration. 3. VP level people concentrate on building their own resume than appreciating their teams. Some of them don't even know their team members by name.
