Pros

Earned vacation time was a plus. Accrued Sick Time was generous. Predictable work environment. Pay rates are fair or slightly below. Good work environment. Good supervisors for most part. Good amount of good workers that care about customer. Good customer relationship.

Cons

Overtime was only available and expected when contract metrics were at risk. Perventive overtime was frowned on unless it affected the contract. Poor performing employees were allowed to continue poor behavior. Overachievers seldom recognized and taken advantage of. Poor work life balance for over achievers. Management not sensitive to vacation time and personal time. Overachievers expected to be available for calls and work during vacation weekends and while sick. No money in the safety program. Poor response to unsafe work practices.

Pros

Strong product and customer base in building efficiency, batteries and automotive seating. Good industry reputation, good salary and benefits, many longer-term employees. Generally good advancement opportunities in this large global company.

Cons

The company has recently shed its very profitable automotive electronics division, and most of its automotive interiors business, which may lead current employees to wonder 'what's next to go?'

Pros

Competitive salary, great bonus potential

Cons

Finance organization manages IT so most IT initiatives are cost control related without thougth to best practices, innovation, or advancing the companies capabilities. Vacation policy is stingy in US. Anticipate layoffs soon since the company will split into 2 separate companies within the next year. Weak vendor management processes to handle outsourced service providers. Weak IT leadership with significant nepotism. Decentralized IT budgets that negatively impact opportunities for leveraging economies of scale, best practices, enterprise standards and creates a bloated software portfolio based upon subjective selection criteria (i.e., personal preference of sponsor).
