Pros

-Good to write on resume -You will have enough work to do if you are a workaholic

Cons

-People back stab more often than you would imagine. -I have worked with some terrible seniors who lack appropriate morale. Many of them just consider the staffs as a tool rather than a person. -Work/Life balance is terrible during busy season. Expect to leave work around midnight or even later. -The company pretends that it cares about your personal development and career, but it only is interested in how much they can utilize you for their benefit. -Corporate-like culture with a good number of cocky people. -Pay is low. Lower than the mid-size firms. If you calculate the hourly rate, it would be not that different from the minimum wage.

Pros

Get to meet loads of new faces due to high turnover of employees, good location of kPMG Service Centre Broadgate - central in Leeds and the offices are clean

Cons

Day to day life in the service center is a stark contrast to what is advertised is in job vacancies - so many discover. (Yes high turnover in this place). The working environment is unbelievably dull, very poor communication and careless with staff and work itself is very limited, in fact mundane - . Pay isn't all that great and self initiative is stamped out with all the heavy procedures of do and don's.

Pros

- Most people are intelligent and friendly at KPMG International (shared services) - Very good benefits (health, dental, fitness reimbursement) - There are many opportunities to move to various teams (but the pay is always low) - The company is involved in many charitable events - Increasingly focused on going green - Training opportunities

Cons

- Low pay - It's impossible to strike a balance between work and life - Office politics that can suck the life out of you - Office environment not conducive to working effectively - KPMG has the worst HR department in all of Canada (they will lose your files, screw up your paycheque, forget to follow up on important matters, contradict themselves...) - There is an atmosphere of fakery among some leadership - Favoritism is appalling - Most teams are understaffed - Little flexibility with regards to work hours (8:30 - 5 shift with rarely any flexibililty)
