Pros

Opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in a wide variety of different functions and industries. Opportunity to meet middle and senior leadership in various companies. There is plenty of opportunity to develop new skills and new experiences. There is also plenty of opportunity to establish connections in companies and industries that the individual is interested in pursuing.

Cons

Long hours are often required, work over weekends is often required, and vacations can sometimes be difficult to schedule around engagements. Work / Life balance is not as good as it could be, and certainly it is not as good as one would find within industry.

Pros

Excellent work experience, training, industry experience, and working with only the best and brightest. The Sacramento office is a diamond in the rough in that you get to work on many different clients in many different industries as opposed to working on one or two clients all year long. The company does try to treat their employees well, however the downturn in the economy has made this more difficult.

Cons

Demanding, limited work life balance, and for the amount of work expected pay should be higher. At times, it almost seems like a contest to see who can work the longest or who can work more hours during a time cycle. Everyone says not to eat hours, but you will.

Pros

It is a great place to start your career. At the end of three years of employment, there are practically endless opportunities available. The people are very cool and fun to be around, and it makes working long hours very easy. The diverse relationships you build in your first three years are incredibly valuable to building your network. I started my career at KPMG with an internship and I would recommend that experience to any person who has the chance to do it.

Cons

The hours are very long. Although the hours are very long, it is quite consistent with the industry.
