Pros

Great on Resume! (But then again, who doesn't say that). Lots of Big Office perks. (save on cell phone plans, gym membership discounts, etc). Lots of training (if your in to that sort of thing). They pay for a lot of things (CPA Classes, school, etc). The associates and seniors were pretty laid back and made working fun (as much as it can be I suppose) The pay for an intern was pretty good. Plus you get overtime as an intern. (not as a full-time). Otherwise they'd be paying full-timers for 60+ hours a week all the time.

Cons

Hours are ridiculously long! I mean, I was only an intern so they alway let me go early, but the rest of the full-time folks always stayed until atleast 9ish. Other than that, you have to come in with the mind set that it's going to be long hours, some stressed out folks (during busy season, which for some folks is all the time), and crazy deadlines. Managers in particular have it bad, becuase they're right in the middle of the corporate structure. So they're the most stressed out. Stay away from them during stressfull periods.

Pros

Most of the people have a very good concept of working together as a team to acomplish what seems like unrealistic expectations. Lots of little gifts and perks are given to employees throughout the year, along with many different programs. They also give a lot of vacation time, if you can find the time to use it.

Cons

Work/Life balance goes in spurts certain times of the year expect to dedicate nearly every waking hour to work. Long hours are expected and sometimes seem to go unappreciated. You have little say in what projects you get assigned to but management is pretty good about working around things like docters appointments.

Pros

25 Days Vacation The relationship with upper management is really good. You get feedback on a regular basis from many different managers at different levels. The firm has an emphasis on work life balance. They allow you to be flexible with work schedules as long as you still get your work finished. KPMG encourages and allows for rotations to different places around the world. KPMG also has many short term travel opportunities that you can encounter when working at all levels of the organization.

Cons

Longer work weeks than you will find in "industry", but the same as other big 4. Sometimes you can look back and find that your month was crazy traveling all over the place, but it does not seem bad if you are ok with a changing environment.
