      Big pros and cons for Kiewit

      Pros

      Long term benefits (stock options) are good if you can put up with it long enough you will be a millionare. Health plans and 401K match are great. Great company for single people.

      Cons

      No personal time. Work 7 days a week sometimes 12 hours a day. This would be fine if you were getting paid by the hour. Dont try it if you have a family. Kiewit has caused more divorces than affairs have.

      Pros

      The name. In the construction world you can go anywhere with a few years of Kiewit on your resume. The training opportunities are world class. They make sure you know what you are doing before they cut you lose to screw up their jobs. Number one thing at Kiewit is building a quality project a the maximum level of profitability.

      Cons

      Moving. This is the only thing that makes me think I will ever leave. You don't have an opportunity to settle into one place for too long before you have to pick up and chase the next high dollar project in another city.
