      Pros

      Opportunites for career advancement are immense. Not a faceless person, but have managers that monitor your progress and help you succeed. You career is only limited by your ambition to succeed. The stock program is a great incentive to stay with the company. It will make you a millionaire when you retire.

      Cons

      The work life balance can be an issue if you do not maintain your scheduled days off. Working camp and shift life is hard on your family life and has caused many marriages to fail around me.

      Pros

      Great Benefits, Great Opportunity, Good chances for advancement. It is a good place to weed out those who think they are "Entitled" for more things. If you want to be rewarded for working hard, then this would be your place. Great stock options, great 401K. Great People. There is a great system in place for advancement. Basically if the guy above you wants to move on he needs to train you to fill his position. WHen you work fo rKiewit you get the opportunity to work on some highly prestigious projects.

      Cons

      Longer Hours (Typical of Industry) Hard to handle for pansies. You have to wait ot be able to be in the stock program. The other downfall would be that there is a little bit of stress, but nothing that the typical industry worker can't handle.

      Great place to start, don't expect to stay too long

      Pros

      Excellent training especially for young engineers. Get to work on huge iconic jobs. Salary is very competitive if not better then most companies and also a benefit package not matched by many. The training recieved here may be one of if not the best in the industry. Having this company on your resume will look very good in the future if you choose not to work for this company down the road. Every other construction company in the US and canada will recognize you as a strong canidate for employment down the road based on the work and training you were exposed to at Kiewit.

      Cons

      Get ready to work some serious hours. Salary is good but hourly rate would actually end up being fairly low due to no overtime or extra compensation for going above and beyond.
