      A great international experience in the USA

      Pros

      The benefits package is substantial and has good coverage administrated by Blue Cross. Company loyalty is high in the upper and middle management positions as it is a Japanese environment .

      Cons

      Unfortunately the Japanese environment is still subject to US labor and trade laws which in some cases conflict making upper middle management positions difficult to navigate without proper training and clear direction. Need better training for managers on pitfalls and personnel management.

      Pros

      Anyone who values their work/life balance would absolutely love working at Komatsu America. The people are friendly, hard working, and many have been with company for long time which makes up a very loyal and customer-oriented culture. Flex time is fantastic and you can take a morning doctor appointment or come in a few minutes later because you wanted to drop kids off at camp, and that is just the norm. I appreciate the company for giving me this flexibility and it only contributes to me wanting to work harder. I'm very happy I chose to come work here.
