Pros

MKS companies mostly continue to operate as they did before getting acquired. (Small company "feel" with big company assets.) HR does a good job of showing appreciation for employees. Also, retention via growth opportunities and movement within the company is a priority.

Cons

There is some disconnects between functional groups.
