Pros

Name Recognition Big Footprint The work is sometimes interesting, challenging, and engaging. Lower level staff is intelligent, generous, and kind.

Cons

Dysfunctional atmosphere. Leadership unstable, secretive, and tends to say one thing and do another. Constantly shifting priorities make career success difficult... have to be in the right place at the right time to advance rather than be great at your job.

Pros

It's good to learn the Barra models if you are interested in the risk management analytics since the Barra methodology and products are industry leaders; good flexibility in term of days off and personal leaves; most people are hard working and competent

Cons

There isn't much room for growth both horizontally or vertically; cross functional move is difficult as the functions are speaded out worldwide and there is no systematic internal recruiting;
