Pros

MSCI pays well to those who do exactly what they are told. If you are happy with well defined job, where you invest your energy energy into obeying those above you, MSCI will treat you well.

Cons

It can be a depressing and oppressive place if you like ideas, if you are creative, or feel that the management does not always know best.

Pros

- casual dress code; - ability to telecommute; - app. 20 days of annual leave;

Cons

- hostile work environment; - toxic atmosphere; - unispiring management; - absolutely no oversight over the actions of the lowest-level management; - very disappointing base salaries in comparison to market rates; - annual bonuses are paid out at random, since no objective metrics are used to evaluate performance; - since there is no oversight and no objective metrics are used, promotions happen at random; - lack of true long-term strategy (it seems to change as often as the management); - questionable hiring practices;

Pros

Company with a great history. Given their business, they have an outsized potential positive impact on the need to shift capital markets towards sustainable business.

Cons

Long tenured, highly political, untrustworthy leaders in key roles. Stress-inducing culture of having to watch your back. Ineffective HR function that seems more beholden to politics than people. Internal dysfunction prevents them from meeting the challenges of the future and realizing the potential of their next chapter as a business. In senior roles, I worked with predominantly white European or American men and a few women.
