Pros

Some very intelligent and smart people on the floor, equally smart in politics. Good base compensation, leaves but less growth opportunities Good work environment and facilities.

Cons

real estate service team has very unreliable and outdated functions of data collection, loading and checks, systems are unreliable/hangs many times, everything is in Excel and so much scope of errors working hours(overnight) are serious concern very mediocre senior associates with no skill set and expertise to lead too much pressure and production load on analyst which mainly goes unnoticed and unrewarded

Empowering our content experts and clients with the most up to date tools and technologies is at the core of MSCI’s operational excellence and the reason why a significant and strategic investment is being made to overhaul the entire data operations for our Real Estate line of products. The transformation of MSCI Real Estate is well underway and the differences are now being felt by our clients and colleagues and our team’s engagement levels are also improving significantly year on year. Ahead of this new tool set being available, the talent of our people and their commitment to their clients has resulted in a significant increase of the overall quality of our data services. As is the on-going practice across MSCI, our teams are rewarded every year for their contribution and hard work and are encouraged to have open dialogues with their managers and the leadership of their functions or their location’s HR partners should they need help.

Pros

Well-run company. Great people to work with (mostly). Visionary Exec. management. Company-sponsored fun days.

Cons

NY weather sucks. One time last week as I was walking to work, my umbrella broke because the wind was so strong! Dating in NY sucks. One time I even got stood up! Who does she think she is ?!?!?

Pros

Well paid, infrastructure, good place for a job not career

Cons

Hire fire culture...high on politics and favoritism. Remote managers are barely interested in your career if you tell them the bullying . Women staff specific growth or concern is negative. HR are strong on lipservice and that is that. They will pay you well to outpace you in market only to see you work for some years until you are outpaced by other company peers as you grow in experience without any learning

Thank you for your comments. We’re very sorry to hear that you’ve had an unfavorable experience. MSCI spends a considerable amount of time supporting career and employee development. In addition, we have significantly improved employee engagement and are happy to report that we are at an all-time low regarding employee attrition. MSCI does not tolerate bullying of any kind and we strongly support a diverse and inclusive culture and have many actions in place to support this including the Women’s Leadership Forum and our MSCIPride group. We strongly believe that your experience is inconsistent with our culture. That said we would very much like to address your issues and concerns and strongly encourage you to contact our CHRO directly (and confidentially).
