Best Guest satisfaction score in Asia Pacific compared to any other hotel in the same brand. Great hotel to have on your resume

Pros

Truly great culture when it comes to taking care of their people at all levels, not just the hourly. Decent benefits and hours unless you work on property in operations...but that's just the nature of the business. Low turnover so you get a sense of job security. Great perks like discounted hotel rooms etc. Great opportunities for anyone interested in global markets and emerging economies. They are bringing in more senior leadership from outside the company that is really refreshing and inspiring. I would say the best hotel company to work for...you just really need to love the industry to stay.

Cons

There is A LOT of stagnation in the company. While this can be great for job security it makes it a difficult and frustrating environment for talented and ambitious people. You see a lot of hiring decisions being made based on seniority rather then merit...this does not got over well with Gen Y. Pay is really low and education is not valued as much as other industries. It can be a very difficult culture to fit into as most people have been with the company for 15+ years and are still sitting in what most would consider entire level positions. While there are a lot of opportunities for advancement you really have to seek out the right leaders to get you there...way to many leaders subscribe to the seniority view and will try to discourage you from posting to positions if you haven't spent more then two years in your current one...regardless of your talent level.
