Pros
Overall, this is an excellent company to work for in the hospitality industry. Marriott management takes excellent care of its employees and plan several training opportunities throughout the year to engage associates and build stronger camaraderie. Marriott associates are known to stick with the company for a long time. In fact, if you are with the company for 25 years, you can stay at Marriott hotels for free for the rest of your life (great benefit!). There are many opportunities for advancement and you will find internal candidates are given priority, should they have the appropriate skills & experience, for promotional hire over external candidates. Internal resources are numerous and you can always lean on a team member or review the materials on the companies' intranet.
Cons
I experience this myself and hear this time and time again from team members - work life balance needs some serious improvement.
