Pros

Take offered salary, if lucky take bonus , rest you will not achieve anything here . What you get for the offered salary is : - Lots of politics - Carrier spoiler - Biased managers as they hire their team from previous organisation that is JP Morgan - One is questioned for every action ,be it work from home, any new idea and than you are humiliated infront of all. - Firing happened every quarter or year and biggest shock you are not even intimated prior ,you just need to leave campus asap soon you get call on same day. - No proper feedback system ,even at your apprialsal. - Biggest part you will get to clean the #### which other developer have done and since they could not design better you need to clean their mistakes. - No proper project just politics. - You will not learn anything new as you will use outdated technologies .

Cons

All cons here nothing pros. - No comp off - No work form home - No support from hire management. - politics at peek - Managers hire his own team from previous company and do partiallity for existing team. - Managers planning every year whom to fire this time rather whom we should appriciate for his efforts. - Full time employees leave with in a year. No concern to manager as they have their own team to setup. - Hire Fire policy. - No one appriciate your work unless you are favourite to manager or worked earlier with him.

Pros

Some folks joining from Indian IT majors like Infy, TCS, wipro may find salary lucrative. If you are laid-off, you may get few months of salary as severance pay.

Cons

Wealth Management Technology division seems to be too confused. They hired an MD few years back and made him leave within 2.5 years because he was trying to bring power to Mumbai office and trying to create true leaders. On the US side, another MD was hired who was also made to leave within 2 years. Then, another MD was brought in his place who resigned within 1 year and then took his resignation back within a month. But resigned again after 1 year. The folks at Executive Director level (which is equivalent to a Manager role in other IT companies) seriously lack team leading skills. But they are not to be blamed because they just adapted themselves to overall company culture. Strangely, Management's ideology is to maintain an insecure environment because they feel that is the only way people will perform to their potential. Do not ever raise concerns unless you have another job offer because you will be next in line in the firing range. Layoffs are very common irrespective of company's performance. Mumbai office management is still struggling to create a positive culture even after so many years. Senior management recently did a brainstorming and came to the conclusion that reason for bad company culture is the employees hired from Indian IT services companies and they feel folks from other Investment banks are better fit for their culture as they already have the habit of being a slave. So, they have now started to target those employees for layoffs. Very intelligent management, I must say.

Pros

There are no pros working at Morgan Stanley

Cons

Extremely toxic environment. Managers are encouraged to bully the team and push to the edge. People literally cry on the floor. EDs & the top management feel they are gods and class A narcissistic in nature. They talk about themselves in 3rd person in meetings. Zero job security. If the firm earns a dollar less compared to last year, be prepared to be fired without any reason, even if you are the top most performer. Only way to grow is play to the narsicist behaviour of the top management & "Networking".
