Pros

The technology is neat. What boy/girl doesn't enjoy working with old and new fashioned walkie-talkies? Pay is decent. A great place to be if you want a 9-5 job lost in a large paralyzed corporation doing only what you are told to do.

Cons

Non-developers discourage developers from straying from a strict Scrum process in the belief that this makes the company Agile, but really just results in grinding development to a halt and code to rot. All incentives to work hard and innovate have been removed. Management discourages and punishes pointing out inefficiencies and coming up with ways to improve them.

Pros

Worktime flexibility. Nice cafeteria. Plenty of parking spaces.

Cons

People are a disposable commodity. Benefits are continuously slashed- retirement and health benefits both down severely. Poor pay increases that do not keep up with cost of living (I get excellent performance reviews)

if you're not part of the "click", you will not move up in management. The managers do not like to hear negativity and only want to hear the good stuff even if things are bad
