Pros

Nestlé is the leading consumer goods company in the world, showing an incredible stability and continuity in its performance and growth. It probably has the most international and multicultural environment of any company. If you are looking for a job where you can experience working and interacting daily with people from completely different backgrounds and cultures, and if you love traveling (short term trips / projects or long term relocation), Nestlé is definitely a company you should consider. Internal mobility in terms of function, location, product category is great, which means that you can always find a new challenging job within the company. This is probably a reason why Nestlé has one of the highest tenures.

Cons

Due to its huge size the company can at times be perceived as slow and bureaucratic. Most jobs at Nestlé require frequent travel or relocation, which is not always appreciated by everyone. The environment is not as meritocratic as in some of the American consumer goods companies and promotions are often linked to seniority or years of service. Top and middle management positions are almost always filled with internal people who have worked for the company for several years.

Pros

Nestle makes great products, recognizes family as being important, and strives to continuously improve in all areas of the company. International travel, assignments, etc. can be very interesting, challenging and rewarding. Nestle recognizes and accommodates employees personal and career goals and can be very helpful to reach both. Nestle is a very healthy company in both the products that it makes as well as financially and is very well managed in this respect making it a very safe and secure place to work in very trying economic times.

Cons

Extra work is often required to meet ever increasing expectations which leads to a very stressful environment.

Pros

The best reason to work for Nestlé is the international environment and the opportunities to live abroad and learn about different cultures. Offers for these opportunities, however, are becoming less frequent nowadays.

Cons

As most of big companies but certainly more than average, the corporation is slow and bureaucratic, not rarely to the point the the business is affected for years due to the difficulty for reverting a wrong decision taken.
