Pros

The best reason to work for Nestle is the camaraderie and rapport that you will develop with all the employees as your Nestle career evolves through the years. Nestle is indeed a company you may grow with. Another reason to work for Nestle is because of all the training the company provides for its employees. Nestle invests in its people. Training and development are valued, and there are opportunities for career advancement. Lastly, Nestle is a global leader in the industry. All over the world Nestle is available, and it is a certified Market Leader in any market. You learn to become the best in the industry from the industry's best.

Cons

At Nestle Philippines, Incorporated (NPI), career advancement opportunity is quite dependent on who your superior is. Obviously this comment is also applicable for any company. However, most companies take the necessary steps to "weed out" the "bad apples" within senior management. Unfortunately, NPI has yet to do so despite numerous assurances to middle and junior management. There is still a number of senior managers at NPI who do not display the Nestle manager qualities and imbibe the Nestle leadership principles. There is still also too much "layers" in the decision making process. Despite the 2004 transition from a heirarchichal organizational structure into a network structure, NPI has yet to fully shed off all its former "bad habits." Sales commercial planning for example is still done top-down when it should be bottom-up. Other regions practice bottom-up, but it is not the same for all. NPI should do a better job of ensuring that the network structure is indeed followed especially since this is the vision of Mr. Brabeck that all employees were expecting to be implemented.

Pros

fgdfgPurina has great employees, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the people who work there. There is a lot of room to run with a project if you have a good idea. You can go to any store in America and see your handiwork on the shelves, so it feels like you have an impact on the final product. The benefits are excellent. It's very family-friendly, and it even has a great employee childcare center on-site. Purina offers the opportunity to have a very long tenure with one company, if that is something that appeals to you. .

Cons

It also offers the chance to move internationally, either within Purina, or to another Nestle division
