Pros

Being a working mom is HARD. Being a mom has made me such a better team member, but sometimes I have to move my schedule around, and I need atonomy to do that. At OpenTable, I am a better employee because the stress of a rigid schedule/hours/commute to an office has been removed. I have the flexibility to be the best working parent, and the freedom that allows me to be the best employee I have ever been. OpenTable really trusts their employees, and that has been so valuable to me. Other pro's - great pay, great people, good culture, and they act on employee concerns (i.e. there were previous employee concerns about career development, and the company is developming a program to address that need). And the sick policy is great too! Between WFH, atonomy/flexibilty, and a good sick policy, I no longer have to ration my PTO between myself and my kids. I get to use my time off for things I actually want to do!

Cons

They are still working out some kinks form merging OpenTable and Kayak in recent years. There are some access and technology painpoints because of it.

Pros

I used to think I worked for one of the most supportive and innovative companies when it came to looking after their employees, thats until I joined Opentable. From the moment I joined my on-boarding and everything from contacts to equipment was arranged. I was even set up with a buddy to help if I got stuck. I was fully enabled from the moment I joined but then the highlight is, I was given space and time to settle in with time to learn systems etc before my workload became too busy. This breathing space was great. Instead of being thrown in the deep end which is all I have ever experienced when starting new roles. Finally everyone I have been in touch with from my colleagues, managers to stakeholders has been nothing but friendly and helpful.

Cons

Honestly. There are no cons to this job so far.
