Pros

Pay is good and stock options are enticing.

Cons

The part of Oracle I worked in was extremely toxic. Ellison’s management by ridicule approach permeates the organization. Product managers were not allowed to engage with customers. Stock takes years to vest and your bonus is given in stock. You have to kiss it goodbye when you decide to leave.

Pros

Like anywhere it's what you make of it, and, dependant upon who your manager and org leader are. However, I've found Oracle to be a great place to work, with good work-life balance and a fantastic inclusive culture.

Cons

As an older company silos have developed which can make it more difficult for new employees to adjust and get their footing. But it's not insurmountable.
