Pros

Sometimes have good training opportunities. Salary is decent, but not great. Good chance to learn new technologies when on decent projects. Most of the technical staff is awesome, other than the typical few outliers with big EGOS.

Cons

Too much management. They nickel and dime their employees. Training is constantly being cancelled. They act like they are doing you a favor letting you keep your job.

Pros

As a consultant, one of the best parts of working at Oracle is that you get a lot of hands-on experience very quickly. You can be 'thrown in the fire' and expected to produce quality results right-a-way. If you like the challenge then it is a great place to work. You typically are ask to focus on one technology or product at Oracle, but when at a client's site you may get pulled into other technologies or products. This keeps your job exciting and not so mundane. When the economy is doing well, Oracle is very supportive of training, including in-class training.

Cons

Oracle is a big company so you can have the feeling of a small fish in a big pond. If you are looking for a lot of recognition from management this is not the place for you.

Pros

The training and skills you obtain during your time at Oracle are top notch. You get the chance to do the most technically advanced implementations of the particular Oracle product line you were hired for. Within Oracle consulting, you're also able to move around in your product family vertical (BI), and work on various systems (OBIEE, ODI, Hyperion).

Cons

The constant re-orgs make it tough to have a relationship with your manager. Also, many projects within consulting don't have the same collaborative feel as our partner consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte, IBM).
