Pros

It is a technology Mecca to learn new things, engineers are very smart but unfortunately these engineers are not recognized since the directors, senior directors, VPs are dead weight in this company since they have no clue on what’s going on. These mid-level management are all concerned about their survival hence the politics overshadows the individual contributors.

Cons

This is one of the worst companies ever I worked for. They keep acquiring companies and has been disastrous in integrating them. This company has the worst culture ever and people are identified based on the company from where they come, people in Oracle never embrace the new people who come onboard when their existing company gets bought over by Oracle. There is no recognition or bonus or raises for last couple years, the middle mangement (director to all the way up) are filled with bunch of morons and idiots who has no clue on the company’s direction or strategy. Mid-level Management is bloated.

Pros

Working environment is comfortable and friendly. There are many technologies that you can get exposed to. Management seems to encourage innovative ideas as long as they add values to the business.

Cons

In fire-drill mode often. heavy processes on every aspect of development can they seem to be enforced at any time management feels like. Cross team development initiatives are always on the aggressive side which cause teams to cut corners but still miss the deadlines.
