Pros

Very open culture. One of the most friendly managers you would ever meet. You can work on your comfort levels and timings.

Cons

Ridiculous policies . Pathetic compensations , no on sites or chances to earn any additional perks.Post 2009 , company has been continuously doing cost cutting by various means in India. This means yearly bonuses are getting vanished or becoming like "alms". Raises in salary are getting delayed every year with extremely abysmal increases. This is also reflecting in poor hires, bad product focus and quality. Also this is perhaps only one of the few companies in earth where a promotion does not guarantee a pay hike(at least immediately), that means increase in responsibility with no additional pay. A corresponding pay hike may take not a year or more to come. Managers are really good but could not do much to retain people , because systematically they have been made powerless by putting lot of "ifs and buts" in the policy. Technically you may learn a lot of skills here , but the sale-ability of 'em in the job market are very less as they are either very specific to the org or not state-of-the-art.

Pros

Oracle is a big company, but it runs very efficiently. Oracle's benefit seems to be quite good - one of them is the long term care insurance; one can purchase it for his parents as well. Key people get pretty good rewards. The work/life balance at Oracle (at least the division I work for) is quite good. Many people work from home one-day every week. Oracle also provides various training for employees: one can learn quite a bit if he really wants to.

Cons

One needs to think about his own career path; otherwise, it is easy to get buried by day-to-day tasks. Also, different divisions at Oracle can be quite different. Choose one that works for you.
