Pros

Oportunity to work in very interesting bleeding edge technology. Great learning potential from other employees. Very nice and respectful way of treating employees.

Cons

Pay could be better. Human resources information isn't as available as it should be. Employees aren't treated the same way across the globe.

Pros

+ You can learn oracle from oracle , huge scope for picking new technologies and doing certifications. + Good work culture , unless you are unfortunate to work under a bad manager . + Good health benifits

Cons

+ No transparency , in hr policies and management polices . Though the policy says , you are free to move across Line of Businesses [LOB] , this will never happen unless you are too lucky . You join a LOB and mostly you have to retire from there . + Work style is mostly like a government organization, routine work through out the decades , promotions based on the number of years of experience irrespective of your contributions . + Good Compensations are history , day by day the board is becoming so greedy that they have indirectly gave a clue that there will not be any market correction till 2013 and it did not happen from 2008 . The worst part is they are recruiting and the new joiners are getting better paid and offered better positions . So you may have to train a person , who does not know anything about the job , but is drawing twice the amount of your salary. + The lower and middle management are just puppets. + No , work from home policy and No transportation to the office . In one word , oracle is golden trap. Looks green and gold when you are joining , but soon you will realize that you are rottening.

Pros

like the flexibility/ work from home or office choice, campus in redwood shores is nice, specifically gym and good food in the cafeterias. that's about it

Cons

the work environment doesn't promote initiative and creativity, too much process and bureaucracy, internal tools are slow, buggy and UI is terrible for most of them, but most people have to use them a lot on daily basis - huge impact on overall productivity and even morale. No ability for employees to assess their management, overall management level is poor comparing to the other companies I've worked for. Fear or commanding management style is common. Most people on campus look sad or depressed, no positive vibe. Got here via acquisition and hope to get out asap, have few friends working here - everyone hates it and looking for an outside opportunity.
