Vital mission in a world where inequality is growing. Many kind, driven colleagues

Cons

Increasingly toxic "do as I say, not as I do" environment. Externally advocating for greater worker rights, while internally putting people on temporary contracts, using union busting tactics, and pushing out people who are critical very bad situation for many people who work for the organization outside of rich countries, lots of turnover and burnout

Pros

- The street fundraising team managers are nice and you can tell they are trying their best to be supportive. They try to keep the team positive and are super supportive where they can be. - This job will push you so far out of your comfort zone. I hated this job so much, but I will say I became a better communicator and more personable as a result

Cons

- Zero hour contract, no rights, no sick pay, close to minimum wage - Standing in the cold and rain all day, with the general public shouting profanities at you and treating you like pests. - People get fired on the spot if they don't hit targets. Not very 'charitable' of Oxfam
