      Pros

      I'm proud to be part of this company. The history and projects of this company are truly remarkable. Moreover other people in the industry respect PCL; everyone holds us in high regard. I've only been with PCL for two months, but speaking to potential new hires/recruits, I can tell you this has been one of the smoothest transitions and on-boarding process I've ever been a part of. The resources are endless, the people are friendly and willing, and there are constant [formal and informal] check-ins.

      Cons

      The expectations are high. Don't expect anyone to hold your hand. If you make it through the interview process and are hired, you have a level of expectations that must be met, expect to get to work.

      Slow career advancement. Below average salary offering.

      Pros

      PCL fosters collaborative and cohesive teams in the office and on site that become friends and can feel like family. Management strongly encourages growth opportunities and creates pathways for career development. Loyal and long term employees at all levels are rewarded with the company's profit sharing program that can greatly increase compensation. Executive Management is transparent about direction, goals, and finances. Employees work on exciting projects across the US and Canada.

      Cons

      Occasionally work/life balance is not always the best when there are deadlines or milestones to achieve but I do not know of any strong construction companies where this does not occur.
