Pros

Great products and dedicated people to what they do. Communication processes and dedication to minority hiring is oustanding and it makes the company stronger.

Cons

I was the top rated person in my division for 3 consecutive years. I was designated a "HIPO High Potentional" the highest rating you can get. Was told for 42 months that nothing stood in my way for a promotion. However after hearing the same story for 42 two months that the promotion will happen next month " i promise" .....I got tired of it. Especially frustrating when other peers who were minorities and fully qualified for the positions they were posting for were fast tracked (for different positions) through the promotion process. Coincidence can't explain this happening 8 different times. They pay relo if you are a new employee but not if you are an existing employee.

Pros

Great employee website. Decent pay.

Cons

Inconsistent work schedule. Manager frequently comes to stores and "shows you a couple things" and you end up spending three-four hours following him around. Critiques the merchandise displays and back stock even though you only work in that store 1 or 2 days per week (detailer position). Paid as a detailer but asked/expected to work merchandiser route and perform merchandiser tasks. DSR and manager give opposite direction on how to perform work. Their direction is also contrary to the limited training given. Days off are inconsistent which makes it really hard to plan family events. Have to drive own vehicle to and from work and on route. The amount of product being pushed into stores is outrageous.

Pros

Great company to have on your resume, once working at PBG all companies know that you are a hard worker. Extremely fast paced environment. The benefits are some of the best, not only in the industry, but of all companies.

Cons

There is a real lack of leadership. The normal operation mode is reactive not proactive, so get used to always being short of staffing. When managers from the business unit come to town, get ready to go all out to create the craziest dog and pony show for them, instead of showing them the real world. Best part of the Dog and Pony show is that you get to take it down hours after they leave town. Customer Reps are always being asked to work their "off days" due to the lack of staffing. In this role you are expected to be on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week, it does not matter what is going on in your personal life, work comes first. You can also always count human resources to make anything more complicated then what it needs to be. It seems as if they are always working against you.
