Pros

Extensive benefits and perks; if you live in Westchester County, the commute was fine. Anywhere else could be a real hassle due to the surrounding area/highways and congestion.

Cons

Non-exempt roles are not professionally developed; there is absolutely no career ladder and as a whole employees in this category are pretty much disqualified. My former manager in particular only promoted based on favoritism, not by how hard one worked, and this type of behavior was pretty much reflected across the board. Do not think you can use a non-exempt role in PepsiCo as a springboard into an actual career.

Pros

Great opportunities for vertical movement. Several different plants individuals can move around to. Pepsico also has a good benefits programs along with a decent salary. Managers are down to earth and approachable

Cons

Long hours, some weekends required. Very little office space for non-managers. There is an obvious disconnect between the "hourly" folks versus the "salaried".

Pros

good name to put down in work history. Decent health insurance benefits.

Cons

long hours, minimal guidance from supervisors, low pay. Management offers very little respect for staff and raises are minimal. work is 12 hours or more a day and they keep throwing things on your plate. PBG wants work horses that wont complain and are happy to not advance in the company. If you do not ¨fit in¨with management, they will pass you by for any promotions. Raises are only 2 or 3% (which in reality is the cost of living increase) so your always behind. There is no loyalty towards employees who have worked there for decades. Everyone is dispensible at any time, if they want to reduce labor costs.
