Pros

Other than being employed during the recession, not really any positives. I was embarrassed to tell people that I worked there . Leaving that job was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Cons

For all the uninformed people on here: All or at least most of these "positive" reviews are written by some of the more gullible employees that work at Power. They have a PR guy who goes around to employees of the call center and asks employees to go on social media sites and write positive reviews about the company, and also about how "great" it is to work there. It is despicable, but for someone who worked at that miserable place for 2+ years, this is normal practice. This is why so many quality people leave this company, and now they target uneducated people who will drink the cool-aid. Stay far, far away from this place and their wall st wannabe CEO.

Pros

Large capacity to make money.... If you're comfortable doing the work. Unbelievably fantastic company culture, trip to Mexico, chance to make a good career and advance through company.

Cons

Door to door work with homeowners that probably don't want to see some solicitor on their door step. Common for police to get called, which is why I was uncomfortable talking to homeowners. If they say they're not interested, you are supposed to ignore them, and go right back to collecting their information. Basically, if you want to do this job, and not be a pest, you must be very good at being pleasantly persistent. Have gotten better about this. But they don't always get you the necessary permits that make this job legal. And considering the frequent police involvement, that's an issue.
