Pros

The day starts at 11am

Cons

Let me start by saying that Power lies in the job listing and interview process, using marketing buzzwords to make their introductory role sound like it's not a standard door-to-door sales role. They also lie about compensation. They will promise you the world saying it's easy to generate enough appointments to make $65k-100k+ a year when in reality its very hard to trigger the bonuses required to do so. This role will require you to drive over an hour each way to get to your "territory" and they do not compensate you for gas. Furthermore, the company culture is extremely "bro-y" and executives seem to encourage it. Do not work here if you're female or LGBT. My mentor upon finding out that I was gay asked me extremely personal questions about my sexual life and always made jokes about my sexuality. This is all around a terrible work environment. Stay away at all costs.

Pros

Very extensive training program for New Hires

Cons

Terrible business practices, rely on predatory sales techniques. Hope you like vaping and wannabe "Frat Bros". Basically you are going to someones house telling them how terrible it looks and expecting them to want to do business with them. They want you to drink the Kool Aid, weird social functions and they will ostracize you if you do not hang out with your co-workers. Managers heavily play favorites. You will lose your mind, I sure did.

Pros

The job was so miserable that everything I've done since has felt like a breeze. Some of the guys were really cool.

Cons

Everything the other (honest) reviews have said is true. Terrible work-life balance, extreme amount of politics, shady, high-pressure tactics etc. I won't harp on those, what I will say is this. I've worked my share of bad jobs, but I've never been in such a weird, cult-like atmosphere. Everything management says to you is scripted and chugging the koolaid is mandatory, it's almost impossible to have a real, human conversation with anyone. If this is your first job, you don't realize how screwed up this is until you leave and experience something else to compare it too. Lies and bs are the lifeblood of Power, and they feed them to the employees and homeowners alike. If you're an unattached, clueless <30 guy who wants to be in a frat house environment you might actually like this place. Everyone else, stay far far away. Oh, and the landslide of 5 star reviews that come in after this and every other honest review are all fake.
