Pros

Honestly, not much to say here. The people from my original company were great to work with before Propio took over.

Cons

After Propio bought us, we were kept completely in the dark for two months. No updates, no communication, nothing. Then out of nowhere, they let our whole team go. It felt like they had no clue what we did or how the business worked — just crunching numbers and hoping it all somehow made sense. They talk a lot about growth and being “innovative,” but it’s clear they care more about looking good on paper than actually building a good product or culture. It’s run like a finance experiment, not a language company.

Pros

The individuals on my team were very skilled and friendly.

Cons

The culture is just toxic. There is no recognition for what you do well and there is extreme pressure for perfection with the fear of losing your job if you make a mistake. Upper management is more focused on increasing profits than they are with providing a good product or taking care of their employees. They'll prioritize pinching a few pennies even if it's to the detriment of the people who use their services or the people who work for them. There is a concerning disregard for the regulations the company should be abiding by. But people who have voiced concerns about that were fired and nothing was done to fix the issues that were brought up. You can also find better pay and benefits anywhere else and be able to work for a company that is more forward-thinking than Propio.

Benefits are not really benefits, have to pay for them, like health insurance. No paid Sick days
