DO NOT JOIN ACCOUNTSTAFF

Pros

If you got interviewed for a job at Accountstaff which is part of RSM, do not accept. They promise you good career prospects etc. It is all a scam. I went in and i learnt nth.

Cons

Pay is low, benefits are bad as well. Within RSM, Accountstaff is at the bottom of the organisation. You are outsourced to that company because that company do not want to do that job bcos either it is really mundunely heavy, or it is simply a no brainer job. basically it is jus some junk clearing. You do not learn anything from it. You have to face your own project manager's standards as well as the company which you have been outsourced to. U basically have no sense of belonging to either the company nor RSM. When you decided to quit, your manager will write bad reviews about you even if you are just an average worker. So if you decided you want to put your project manager as reference for ur next job. Dont. I jus felt like i am being made use of the entire time i was there.

An employee's honest opinion

Pros

- Top factor: People. The people are very willing to help out one another and provide guidance. - Experience gained, however this is expected from an audit firm

Cons

Too many to be explained in depth - Worst factor: Ridiculous remuneration package. Simply insulting and not even competitive amongst the midtier, not to even mention the big 4 - Poor benefits (staff pantry remains with a large tin of biscuits and tin of milo even during covid period whereas client's pantry has individual packaged drinks and snacks p.s. we can already see the clear difference between treatment of client and staff) - Non-existent staff retention - Work to pay ratio is hopeless - Constant implementation of redundant changes to processes which is very inefficient and prove as a hassle to the staff (change in data analytics software to cut costs, eFS to save costs in hiring admin department, frequent update to audit forms which does not value add) - Some (not all) upper management that clearly do not know what they are doing and merely raise redundant points to portray work done which makes staff life difficult. Also request for staff judgement and opinion but clearly does not listen.
