The death of once a great company

Pros

Some great front line workers who do care about their customers. Free soda, food trucks, etc.

Cons

Once a core value, transparency, it is an insult now. This company does not disclose to the floor staff what is going on. No direction and now layoffs are happening in 2 of our biggest departments. There is only so much we can do to save money before this company starts losing money big time or doing mass layoffs. The VP's and above don't care since they have golden parachutes. It's the average tech worker I am concerned about since we are just pawns in this giant game. Time to look for a better job...

Casual work attire was really nice. Free drinks in their break stations and some really great and smart people.

Cons

Absolutely no work life balance. Was averaging 55-60 hrs/week. Management acts like they support you but are very quick to throw you under the bus just to cover their own. No structure and very poor evaluation. They give you an evaluation and you're completely surprised because in all your previous meeting they praise you and then hit you with a 'Did not meet expectations' evaluation. A very stressful, unprofessional, and unhappy work environment.

Get to work on a plethora of issues, really great co workers, personal growth in terms of learning

Cons

Where to start...low pay, too much of teacher pet of employee promotions and reviews. They are killing all the culture benefits like the events they use to have such as racktober fest in order to increase their bottom line. This isn't the same company as it use to be, but now just your regular any other company.
